Systems Administrator

Ref: ITSA150710

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and Support company Systems infrastructure (Windows 2000 and 2003AD)
  • Maintain and Support company Client Production systems (Windows 2003 Server)
  • User administration/system management (Active Directory)
  • Troubleshooting/Analysing performance and reliability issues and the initiation of related improvement work
  • Providing PC/Server hardware and software support
  • SQL Database administration and maintenance (SQL 2000/2005)
  • Providing support to Team Members  
  • Providing MSExchange support (Exchange 2003)
  • Backup, recovery and contingency planning, onsite and offsite. (Backup Exec V10)
  • Supporting and maintaining Clients Web Server environment.
  • Maintain and Document Systems policies and procedures within established standard
  • Assist in Systems BCP Planning and implementation

Experience and Skills:

 

·         Minimum 5 Years experience managing, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows 2000/2003 Network and Messaging Infrastructure

·         2 Years SQL Administration and Maintenance

·         Excellent OS knowledge (Linux, Windows 2003/XP)

·         Minimum 4yrs Systems Administration experience

·         Strong focus on quality of service

·         Self motivated, organised individual with excellent time management skills

·         Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Good problem solving and investigation skills.

·         Excellent knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows XP, MS Office, Exchange 2003 and VMWare ESX. Certification is desirable but not 100% necessary.
