Percana Group Signs Major Licence Agreement with Commercial Union International Life
Percana will supply its Eclipse enterprise solution, providing CUIL with improved operational efficiencies and significant cost savings. Percana was selected by CUIL after a Europe-wide competitive tender process. Gerhard Trubel, General Manager, CUIL, said Eclipse’s rich product functionality, its highly efficient administration and customer service functionality, coupled with its innovative and flexible technology, were key factors in the decision. He commented: “Throughout the tender process, Percana consistently demonstrated that Eclipse is the best solution to support our requirements. It will provide us with powerful policy administration capabilities and increased levels of management information, which will enhance our operational structure.” The Eclipse product suite is a comprehensive enterprise solution that can be used to manage a wide range of Life and Pension products. It is unique in the Life and Pensions arena in that it has been designed and built with Internet connectivity as a core delivery mechanism and uses XML throughout to accomplish both component integration and interfaces to external systems. Mr Trubel said Eclipse’s Web-enablement capabilities will enable CUIL to provide online access to agents who can view and interact with their clients’ portfolios. “Percana’s ability to provide a system with very efficient administration and customer service functionality at a much lower cost than before are major reasons for our decision,” added Mr Trubel. The contract follows the recent Eclipse licensing agreement with Quinn Life, which went live at the end of November. Percana’s clients also include AZ Life, the Irish subsidiary of the Italian asset management company Azimut, and Arca Vita International, the Irish subsidiary of the Italian life company Arca Vita.
