Percana to Invest €1.5m with Support from Enterprise Ireland
18th December, Dublin - Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheál Martin, T.D. announced that Percana Group is to invest €1.5m in Research and Development and Key Skills Development with support from Enterprise Ireland. 27 new high-value jobs are to be created at the company’s Park West headquarters in Dublin. Percana is a leading provider of software, outsourcing and consultancy services to the Life and Pensions sector.
Making the announcement, the Minister said:
“This investment will help Percana to increase its international competitiveness and export potential. Percana is an excellent example of an ambitious Irish company successfully competing in an internationally traded services sector. Enterprise Ireland is committed to working with Percana to assist it to enhance its service innovation capabilities, increases its skills levels and access new markets.”
“I am delighted to announce that Percana are to create 27 high-value jobs, including a number of key management roles at their Dublin headquarters.” the Minister said.
Commenting on the announcement Paul O’Kane, Executive Chairman of Percana said:
“Enterprise Ireland’s financial and knowledge supports will help us to enhance key capabilities and strengthen our foothold in the international marketplace.”
“This investment has come at a pivotal time in our growth cycle. We are currently in the process of implementing new structures to improve our process and delivery capabilities and have made significant changes to our management structure. We are committed to investing in developing our people and our product offerings. This is fundamental to achieving Percana’s significant growth potential,” said Mr O’Kane.
Percana is expanding its operations in Dublin due to a significant increase in client activity. Based in Dublin, Percana is on course to achieve 100% growth in 2006. This growth is attributed to a surge in sales activity, which has seen Percana conclude several new international contracts in Luxembourg and the UK.
